California is my very favorite place to live forever and always and now. It is very great in its funfulness, but to live here in the very good state of California, you have to also know how to live with earthquake safety in your house. I am a very prepared therapy dog for earthquake safety!
I have made a very important kit of earthquake safety that is full of very safe things. Number one: TREATS. Number two: TREATS. Number three: TREATS. Number four: lots of water. Treats are very important to have stored in the case of an earthquake.
I also have to make sure to run very regular safety drills for earthquake safety. That means finding a super mega safe hidey place in the Smile TV Office of Smiles because when the earth shakes, I can be safe. Did you know that standing in a doorway is very much not safe for Smile Dogs or for human-peoples? I would not be a happy Smile Dog standing in a doorway, or standing at all if the ground started to shake my Sophie toes.
Sandy always tells me to drop, cover, and hold on to something. It is very good that the Smile TV Office of Smiles has the Situation Room where I can do my earthquake practice of safety. I can drop and cover and hold onto the Situation Room table leg where I will stay super mega safe from a very scary rumbly situation.
I also practice what to do for after the very shaky happening of an earthquake. Since I am a very good therapy dog for humans, I have to rescue very importantly if someone gets stuck under falling stuff. My friend, Lion, got stuck under a garbage can in today’s earthquake practice, so I am grabbing him out most speedily.
It is very important not to go outside before the underground movement stops, because the Smile TV Office of Smiles has glass doors that can break in the rumbliness. The shaking has stopped, so Lion and I can escape safely outside to pass our earthquake safety test of shakiness.
Do you have an earthquake plan of safety? Tell me about it in the comments section or send me an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
