Since I’m a very good therapy dog for humans, I like to help human-people get what makes them happy. There are some days when I like to do something nice for me too that makes me a happy Smile Dog. All days are those days.
I really like treats. All day. Every day. Eating them makes me be a very happy Smile Dog. Sandy keeps them in a special box where my mouth can’t reach. I like watching them until they are inside my mouth.
Sandy usually gives me lots of treats, and I like it. But when she is busy making a Smile TV it can take a really long time. I do what I can to show her how urgently I need my treats every day, all day.
Wow, those treats look extra there today. They are so there that I can see them. Maybe if I look hungry, Sandy will see how bad I want my special treats. I wish to fully express my hunger. I’ve gone a whole nap without treats.
I like to put my head on her leg. Then maybe she can see my deep desire for treats being so up close. It usually works.
If that doesn’t work, I jump up on her seat so my eyes are closer to her eyes and she can see that I want treats.
If she still doesn’t look at me and feed me one or a thousand treats, I go around and under her desk to put my head in her lap. Then, she has no choice but to look away from her light box and give me treats.
Once I have Sandy’s attention, there’s nothing else she can do but give me treats from that box!
My treats are good. I will enjoy them until I get hungry again.
That will be very soon.
