When I play a game, I like to run and catch things with my mouth. That is how I do my exercise. But I don’t’ really use my mouth at all when I play the Pilates.
Sandy started taking me to play the Pilates because she spends a lot of time sitting, but not the fun kind of sitting like I do. A nice human-person named Pilates Kathy teaches us how to play the Pilates. And she is really smart at stretching human-people and making them stronger. I used to sit by the door and watch, but then Pilates Kathy decided to teach me a few things from the Pilates. She put me on her Cadillac, which didn’t drive very far or very fast.
This Cadillac had lots of loops and straps to grab, but they tasted funny. So Pilates Kathy just taught me to “Downward Dog,” and I was a natural!
Then there was this contraption called a Reformer, and Pilates Kathy showed me how to use it to stretch my back. There was another dog right in front of me, who looked just like me and was doing the same thing I was doing, so I felt good there was another dog.
I saw the most wonderful sight of all: the Ball. It was the biggest ball in the world. I’ve never seen a bigger ball. It wouldn’t fit in my mouth, but I loved it so much. I pushed it all around the studio until Sandy bent herself back into shape and we had to leave to go to Smile TV. I like this Pilates game. I feel pretty good after it. I hope Sandy will decide to install a big ball in the Smile TV office one day.
Child’s pose is a great way to rest after I play with Pilates Kathy. That gives me a chance to rest on the mat. And to watch Sandy bend and twist herself. I’m pretty sure a dog body can’t do that. But it doesn’t hurt to try!
