Hello there. It is I once again, Sophie the Dog. As you may already know, I am not only a very good therapy dog for humans but also Smile TV’s official Smile Production Dog.
I have a lot of responsibilities at Smile TV. I’m in charge of taking all of the naps, catching all of the balls, and bringing in all of the treats that the FedEx guy brings. Then, once in a while, the Door opens!
The Smile team opens the Door to a mysterious room whenever they want to make a Smile TV. They buzz around, putting things together, barking instructions at each other, like “Cut!” “Roll!” and “That’s a wrap!” but no matter how many times I roll over, they don’t really look at me.
So, I went over to inspect the tall, bright-poles and thought I could be helpful at setting them up…
…but Sandy got there first. She balances much better on her back legs than I do.
She saw that I was interested in helping, so she put me in charge of monitoring the sound maker that makes sound without squeezing it…
…but it’s not that much fun if you can’t squeeze it.
Instead, Sandy set this flat board in front of me and said she would pay me in treats to make it go clickety-clack. What a great idea!
Now I’m in the TV, making clacking noises. I don’t want to give up being a very good therapy dog for humans, but if this becomes their new favorite thing for me to do, I might have to take a very good therapy break. After all, they might make me a star, and a dog’s got to have dreams!
Maybe one day, I’ll make my own TVs. I have lots of ideas. There could be a TV called Ball, where the very good dogs have to get the ball, but there’s a vacuum cleaner in the way. There could be excitement, suspense, and romance all in one TV!
Or maybe I could make a series of TVs about the many good things to eat that I find on the ground. The possibilities are endless, and everyone likes to put good things in their mouths. I must think about this more while I make the clickety-clack sound again.
Do you have a very good idea for a Sophie TV? Let me know! Leave a comment below or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Until next time!
