Cleaning your teeth is important. Drinking orange juice is important. Drinking orange juice after cleaning your teeth is probably one of the worst decisions in the history of man.
Seriously. It’s not worth it. I know some of you are thinking that I could be wrong, and may attempt to try it for yourself. Just know that when your face is scrunched up in disgust, I did warn you in this blog post! Try and pass along the message to others who will attempt to figure it out for themselves.
While orange juice and toothpaste don’t go together, there are some flavor combinations I wish I would have known earlier so I could have been enjoying them all along.
#1- French fries dipped into an ice cream shake. Now my preference is chocolate, but really any flavor will do. The creamier the shake, and the saltier the fries, the more delicious it will be.
#2- Watermelon and feta cheese. I know it sounds like a weird combo. But the juiciness of the watermelon followed by the saltiness of the cheese turns into an excellent continuous cycle. Just be warned, it’s hard to choose what your last bite is going to be!
#3- Chocolate with anything salty. Chocolate covered pretzels are always a hit, as well as chocolate covered nuts, or even chocolate and chips. This is a common one, but it’s so yummy, it deserved a spot on the list!
#4 Strawberries and balsamic vinegar. Not a lot of balsamic, just a light drizzle and mmm mmm mmm! This one’s great because it looks fancy as well, so you can whip it out as a way to impress your dinner guests!
#5 Maple syrup and bacon or sausage. Truth be told, I am a vegetarian. But there was a time when I ate meat. And when I did, maple syrup drizzled over my bacon or sausage was always a great hit! So I decided to include it on the list for all you meat lovers out there.
#6 Cayenne pepper and mango. Satisfy all your taste bud needs with this one- fruity, spicy, salty, and sweet! Just cut up some mango, sprinkle a little cayenne pepper and salt on it and enjoy! Be warned though, cayenne is hot so keep a water cup close by!
Try some of these out and see what you think! But please, whatever you do, don’t drink your orange juice after cleaning your teeth.
